Every bottle prints its own scent character on the front, which sounds small until you own a dozen brown bottles and have to open each one to remember what is inside. The twelve are jasmine, ylang ylang, rose, lavender, sandalwood, frankincense, vanilla, sweet orange, lemon, bergamot, eucalyptus and peppermint: florals, resins, woods and citrus, one botanical per bottle, chosen at checkout.
A hundred millilitres is where this range earns its keep. HIQILI sells the same oils at 10ml and 30ml and states plainly on its packaging that the larger bottles cost less per millilitre — and if you make things rather than only diffuse, the small sizes are a false economy. Candles, soap, melts, bath salts and room sprays consume oil at a rate no diffuser matches; 10ml disappears in about two batches.
The bottle comes with a black screw cap and a separate gold-collared glass pipette, which is the better arrangement: fit the dropper while you work, cap it properly afterwards, and nothing evaporates in between. Three to five drops per 100ml of water in a diffuser is a sensible start — peppermint and eucalyptus carry much further than the florals, so begin low with those. On skin, six to twelve drops per 30ml of carrier oil, patch tested first, and keep bergamot and lemon off skin that will see sun within twelve hours.
The packaging carries non-GMO, 100% natural, cruelty-free and sustainable-sourcing marks — HIQILI's own claims, which we pass on rather than verify. And at this price the jasmine, rose, vanilla and sandalwood are interpretations rather than true absolutes; beautiful to diffuse, not material for skincare. The lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, lemon, bergamot and sweet orange are exactly what they say.
