Sandalwood is the note people reach for when they want a room to feel settled rather than fresh — dense, dry, faintly creamy, and slow to leave. It sits at the bottom of a blend and holds everything above it in place, which is why perfumers treat it as structural rather than decorative. Each bottle is 100ml of amber glass with a pipette dropper, boxed with an instruction leaflet. The label gives the botanical name as Santalum album and the origin as India, and describes the character as a strong woody aroma. Worth knowing before it arrives: the supplier is mid-way through a packaging change, so the box and cap design you receive may differ from the photographs even though the contents and volume do not.
Three to five drops per 100ml of water scents a room through any of the ultrasonic and cool-mist units in our humidifier and diffuser range. Diluted into a carrier at 1–2% it becomes a massage or body blend, and at craft rates it goes into candles, melts and cold-process soap — though sandalwood in particular wants a small-batch test first, since woody notes behave unpredictably in wax.
