Jojoba is technically a wax ester rather than a true oil — cold-pressed from Simmondsia chinensis seeds into a lightweight, fast-absorbing liquid with a very mild aroma and a golden color. Its structure is close to human sebum, which is why it's so well tolerated.
It absorbs without greasiness and has a low comedogenic rating, making it a popular choice for combination, oily, and sensitive skin. Many people use it as a daily face oil, a makeup remover, a bath oil, or a pre-wash scalp treatment for hair.
It also works well as a carrier base for essential oil blends, at roughly 1% dilution for the face or 2–3% for the body.
For external use only. Patch test before first use, avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, and store tightly closed for its 12–18 month shelf life.
