Laxmi Dhoop Incense Sticks are named for Laxmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity, and made using the coreless dhoop method - built without a bamboo core running through the stick, so the fragrance is the material itself rather than a scent dipped onto a plain wood blank.

The blend names three ingredients specifically: loban resin, bergamot, and lavender. Loban is a resin widely used in devotional incense across South Asian practice, and pairing it here with bergamot and lavender gives the stick a resinous base with a brighter, herbal top note rather than a single flat aroma. That combination of a heavier resin against two lighter, citrus-and-herbal notes is a deliberate contrast rather than an accident of formulation.

These sticks are crafted by the Mysore Sugandhi Dhoop Factory using traditional coreless methods, and are used in ceremonies and devotional offerings honoring Laxmi - a real, living devotional practice where burning incense is a gesture of respect. We name that plainly and respectfully, and we are equally plain that it is a cultural and devotional association, not a financial mechanism: lighting a stick does not create, attract, or influence any financial outcome, and is not a substitute for actual financial planning.

Each stick burns for approximately 90 minutes, noticeably longer than a typical 30-45 minute masala stick, which makes a single stick suitable for a full sitting or an extended devotional offering rather than needing to be relit partway through an evening.

Because there is no bamboo core, shape or rest the coreless dhoop in a flat, fire-safe dish rather than an angled stick holder, light the tip, and let it settle into an even smolder. More devotional and masala sticks sit in our Incense Sticks collection, and dhoop-specific browsing continues in our Incense collection.
