Myrrh is one of the oldest aromatic materials in human history, gathered from the resin of thorny desert trees. This essential oil captures that same depth — dark, balsamic, and resinous, with a smoky, earthy complexity. Steam-distilled from the resin, it arrives undiluted and single-botanical.
Where frankincense tends to open and lift a blend, myrrh grounds and anchors it — diffused alone or combined with frankincense, it makes a classic grounding meditation combination.
Diluted into a carrier oil, myrrh is also a longtime favorite in skincare for dry, chapped, or irritated skin, and in massage blends for the legs, feet, and lower back.
Not recommended during pregnancy; as with any essential oil, dilute before skin contact and patch test first.
