Abyssinian oil is cold-pressed from Abelmoschus esculentus (okra) seeds into a featherlight, fast-absorbing oil with a mild aroma and a pale golden color. It's a wildcrafted, unrefined oil naturally rich in antioxidants.
Its glide is exceptionally light — it absorbs almost immediately, leaving a velvety, non-greasy finish that layers well under moisturizer, SPF, and makeup. Many people use it as a daily facial oil for normal to dry skin, or as a massage base thanks to its effortless slip.
It also works well as a carrier base for essential oil blends, at roughly 1–2% dilution for the face or 2–3% for the body.
Its exceptionally light glide means very little product is needed to cover the face, which makes the bottle last longer than its size might suggest. A few drops warmed between the palms and pressed into clean, slightly damp skin helps it absorb almost instantly, leaving that velvety, non-greasy finish that layers cleanly under moisturizer, SPF, and makeup.
As a massage base, its effortless slip is often appreciated on its own or mixed with a lighter oil like jojoba to stretch coverage over larger areas of the body. Because it is unrefined and wildcrafted, storing it tightly closed away from heat and direct sunlight helps preserve its antioxidant content and aroma through its 12-month shelf life.
For external use only. Patch test before first use, avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, and store tightly closed for its 12-month shelf life.
