Ripe strawberry, cold watermelon, mango heavy enough to feel sticky in the air. PHATOIL's fruit fragrance oils are the scents that make someone walk into a room and ask what you are burning — eleven of them, in 10ml and 100ml, built to stay bright in wax long after real fruit would have faded to nothing.
The range runs passion fruit, mango, pineapple and coconut through the tropical end, then strawberry, cherry, banana and watermelon for everything sweeter and cooler. White musk and two designer-inspired scents sit alongside them, and there is a reason makers buy the musk with the fruit: sweetness on its own can read thin and disappear within the hour. A single drop of musk underneath gives a blend a base to stand on.
Both sizes earn their place. The 10ml is a test batch — enough to learn that your mango sings in soy and sulks in paraffin before you commit a litre of wax to finding out. The 100ml is ten times the oil for under four times the price, which is the size you want once a scent starts selling. Fruit is always what runs out first: it carries summer candles, bath products and the melts that move all year.
For candles, six to ten per cent of total wax weight, added around 65–70°C and stirred right through. Wax melts take up to ten, where the extra load makes up for having no flame to drive the throw. Cold-process soap sits at three to six per cent, and an ultrasonic diffuser wants five to ten drops in the tank. Every bottle is amber glass with a fitted bulb pipette, so a test pour you liked can be repeated exactly.
One thing worth knowing before you order: the bottles are printed "Essential Oil", but strawberry and watermelon essential oils do not exist — no process yields them. These are composed fragrance oils, which is precisely what makes them hold through a cure. We would rather tell you that than let a label speak for us.
