Pumpkin seed oil is cold-pressed from Cucurbita pepo seeds into a light-to-medium oil with a mild, subtly nutty aroma and a deep green-to-golden color. It's naturally rich in vitamin E, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, and phytosterols.
It's a genuinely versatile everyday oil — many people use it as a daily face and body moisturizer, a scalp and hair conditioning treatment, or a gentle makeup remover that doesn't strip the skin. Its silky, non-sticky finish suits normal-to-dry skin and dull or frizz-prone hair alike.
Its light-to-medium texture and deep green-to-golden color make it visually distinct from most other oils in our carrier-oil collection, and its combination of vitamin E, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, and phytosterols gives it a well-rounded nutrient profile compared with lighter, single-note oils like safflower.
As a makeup remover, a small amount massaged over closed eyes and dry skin for a moment before wiping away with a soft cloth can help dissolve makeup without the tugging that some foaming cleansers cause; following up with a regular face wash removes any remaining residue. On the scalp, working a small amount in before shampooing and leaving it for a short while can help loosen buildup along the hairline, similar to how other oils in the collection, like sesame or safflower, are used as pre-wash scalp treatments.
Because of its natural pigment, it's worth applying with a bit of care around light-colored fabric or bedding until it's fully absorbed, and a small patch test is worthwhile before using it anywhere near the eyes. Store it in a cool, dark place, and give the bottle a gentle shake before use if any natural settling has occurred.
It also works well as a blend-friendly base for DIY formulas and essential oil dilution — roughly 1% for face use or 2–3% for the body.
Cosmetic grade, for external use only — not for cooking. Its natural deep green-to-golden color can lightly tint fabric, so allow full absorption before dressing; patch test first and avoid contact with eyes.
