This is a stick-incense holder made from a natural sage leaf — not a molded ceramic dish or a length of stamped metal, but the leaf itself, chemical-free and carrying no synthetic fragrance. It is compact enough for a desk, a windowsill, or a corner of an altar, and it suits yoga, meditation, and ordinary daily use.

One thing is worth stating plainly, because the product name invites confusion: this is a holder, not an incense. The leaf is what the burning stick sits in, and it catches the falling ash. What you light is a stick of your own, placed into it.

The second point is about the phrase air freshener. Burning incense of any kind adds fragrance and smoke to a room; it does not remove anything from the air, and we would not describe it as purification in any measurable sense. Freshening here means scent, and scent is a real and worthwhile thing on its own terms.

Sage carries a long history in cleansing practice across many cultures, and that history is why a piece like this is shaped from sage rather than from any other leaf. We report that as context rather than a claim: nothing is promised as an outcome of using it.

As a piece of equipment it is more fragile than ceramic or metal, which is the price of being a real leaf. It dries further with age, it should not be washed, and it should not sit anywhere damp. Wipe the ash off once it has cooled and it will last a good while. More sage products sit in our Sage collection.

In use, set it on a stable heat-resistant surface first, seat the bamboo end of the stick firmly so it cannot tip out, light the tip and fan the flame out gently. Never leave burning incense unattended. For sticks to burn in it, see our Incense Sticks collection.
