Sesame oil has been used across cultures for centuries, cold-pressed from Sesamum indicum seeds into a light, quick-absorbing oil with a mild, nutty aroma and a pale golden color. It's naturally rich in linoleic and oleic acids, natural vitamin E, and the antioxidants sesamol and sesamin.
It's a genuine multitasker — many people use it as a daily face and body moisturizer, a massage oil, or a pre-shampoo hair treatment. Its light texture absorbs without a greasy residue, which is why it suits normal-to-dry and sensitive-prone skin alike.
It's also a useful carrier base for diluting essential oils — roughly 1% for facial use (1–2 drops per teaspoon) or 2–3% for the body.
For external use only. Patch test first if you have a known sesame or nut allergy, keep away from open flames, avoid contact with eyes, and consult a healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
