Sree Vani Golden India Lavender Backflow Incense Cones release a soothing floral aroma while the smoke falls in a captivating cascade. Ten cones come to a box, built on an incense cone base carrying a lavender fragrance blend, and suitable for both backflow and standard incense holders.

Burning lavender is not quite the same as opening a bottle of the oil. Heat draws out the drier, herbal side of the plant more than the soft floral top note an essential oil usually leads with, so the result reads a little sharper and considerably less sweet than most people expect on a first burn.

This is described as a high-perfume formulation, which in practice means the fragrance reaches the far side of a room rather than staying near the burner. That is worth knowing in both directions — it is the reason these work in a living room, and the reason one cone is plenty in a bedroom. See the range in our Backflow Incense Cones collection.

Place the cone on the burner's top vent so the hollow base sits over the outlet, light the tip until it glows, then gently blow the flame out. Burn on a heat-resistant, fire-safe surface in a well-ventilated but draft-free spot, which is the small contradiction every backflow burner has to live with.

Lavender carries a long domestic reputation, and it is worth saying that nothing here is claimed as an effect of burning a cone. This is a fragrance rather than a remedy; people burn it because they like it and because it makes a room feel settled, and that is reason enough.

Ten cones is a working quantity rather than a token one, enough to keep a burner in regular use. For lavender in stick and standard cone formats, and for the rest of the floral range, see our Incense collection.
