Vetiver is one of the deepest, most earthy oils in aromatherapy — distilled from the roots of a tropical grass, it carries a smoky, rich, complex character that surface-grown botanicals simply can't replicate. Steam-distilled, it arrives undiluted and single-botanical.
Diffused on its own, many people find its heavy, earthy character supports a grounded, settled atmosphere well suited to meditation or quiet focus; it's also a favorite base note in natural perfumery for its depth and longevity.
Vetiver has long traditional use in Ayurvedic and Indian wellness practice as a grounding, calming aromatic. Diluted into a carrier oil, it also makes a deeply scented massage blend, particularly for the lower back, feet, and shoulders.
As with any single-botanical oil, dilute before skin contact and patch test first.
