Namaste India Myrrh Incense Sticks carry a woody, warm, aromatic myrrh-inspired masala fragrance with real resinous depth. Each stick burns for approximately thirty to forty-five minutes.

The practical case for a myrrh stick is how much it removes. Burning the raw resin means a charcoal disc, tongs, a dish of sand and a wait while the disc ashes over before anything is added. A stick replaces all of that with one flame and a holder, which is the difference between an occasion and an ordinary evening.

What you trade away is intensity, and the listing is honest that this is a myrrh-inspired composition rather than the resin itself. We will not claim more than that. What is here is the character — woody, warm, resinous — carried in a masala body rather than burned neat on charcoal.

The masala base also changes the direction of the note. Raw myrrh runs dark and faintly bitter; blended into a stick it rounds toward warmth, which makes it considerably easier to sit with for three-quarters of an hour. See the range in our Namaste India collection.

Myrrh was traded on the ancient spice routes and burned in Egyptian temple rites and across the Middle East and North Africa for millennia. That is historical record rather than a claim about what the smoke does, and nothing is promised here as an effect of burning a stick.

Thirty to forty-five minutes is a long burn and a resinous fragrance uses it well. No stick count is printed on the pack, so we quote none. No holder comes in the pack, so set out a fire-safe holder first, on a stable surface, and burn with ventilation. More resins sit in our Incense collection.
