Product Details

Cassia is the bolder, darker cousin of cinnamon — richer, less sweet, with a warmth that spreads through a room. Steam-distilled from the bark, it arrives undiluted and single-botanical, woody-resinous and complex where cinnamon bark is bright and familiar.

Cassia has been traded along ancient spice routes for thousands of years, and the essential oil carries that history: warm, drier, and more sustained than sweet cinnamon. Used sparingly in a diffuser, it creates an immediately welcoming, cozy atmosphere; blended with sweet orange and clove it's a classic winter warmer.

In natural perfumery, cassia adds a warm spice backbone that holds a blend together, and diluted at very low concentrations into a carrier oil, it's a classic addition to a gentle warming massage.

Cassia is a dermal sensitizer — dilute to 0.5% or less for any skin application, patch test first, and avoid during pregnancy and with children without professional guidance.

Why Choose This Cassia Essential Oil

A genuine single-botanical oil. Steam-distilled cassia bark, undiluted.

A darker, bolder relative of cinnamon. Richer, drier, and more woody-resinous, with its own distinct character.

Flexible use. A diffuser or oil burner at low drop counts, or diluted into a carrier oil for a gentle warming massage.

Three sizes to choose from. 15ml, 30ml, or 60ml depending on how much you use.

Cassia Essential Oil Benefits

Warm, sweet-spicy, woody character. Richer and darker than cinnamon, with a woody-resinous depth.

Popular seasonal diffuser choice. A cozy, welcoming atmosphere for cooler months, used sparingly.

Ancient spice-route aromatic. One of the oldest traded aromatic materials in human history.

Potent — use sparingly. A little goes a long way in both diffuser and massage use.

How to Use This Cassia Essential Oil

In a diffuser. 2–3 drops only — cassia is potent. Blend with 3 drops sweet orange and 1 drop clove for a classic warming combination.

For massage. Dilute at 0.5% or less (about 3 drops per 30ml of carrier oil) and apply to legs or back. Do not use at higher concentrations on skin.

For seasonal blends. Combine with cinnamon, orange, and vanilla for a rich festive atmosphere.

For inhalation. Add 1 drop to a tissue and inhale for an immediate warming lift.

Shelf Life & Storage

Cool, dark, tightly capped. Heat and daylight age the oil fastest — store the bottle upright, away from direct sun.

General guide. Stored properly, most single-botanical oils hold their character for a year or more; treat that as guidance and follow any date on the bottle first.

Mind what it sits on. Undiluted oil can mark polished or painted surfaces — decant over something wipeable.

Safety Instructions

Dilute before skin contact — always. Cassia is a dermal sensitizer; dilute to 0.5% or less for skin application.

Patch test first. Test a small area of skin before full application.

Avoid during pregnancy and with children. Not recommended without professional guidance.

Away from eyes, never swallowed. Keep clear of eyes, inner ears, and mucous membranes.
