Q: Is Grapefruit Essential Oil phototoxic?
A: Cold-pressed grapefruit oil can be phototoxic. After topical use, avoid direct sun/UV on treated skin for 12–24 hours and keep dilutions low. Steam-distilled grapefruit is generally considered non-phototoxic, but still patch test and use conservative amounts.

Q: How do I use it safely on skin and in massage?
A: Always dilute. Face: 0.2–0.5% (1–3 drops per 30 ml carrier). Body: 0.5–2% (3–12 drops per 30 ml). External use only; avoid eyes and mucous membranes and discontinue if irritation occurs.

Q: How much should I use in a diffuser, and what does it blend well with?
A: Diffuser: 3–6 drops per 100 ml water. It layers beautifully with rosemary or peppermint for focus, lavender for a calm–bright balance, and other citruses (lemon, bergamot) for extra sparkle.

A: Citrus oils oxidize quickly. Keep tightly capped in a cool, dark place and aim to use within 1–2 years for best quality. Discard if the aroma turns sharp or “solventy.”
