Highly potent — use sparingly. A little goes a long way; start with just 2–3 drops in a diffuser.

In a diffuser. 2–3 drops maximum — it's one of the more potent aromatics in the collection. Blend with bergamot and sandalwood for a sophisticated atmosphere, or lavender for a calming combination.

For massage. Dilute 3–4 drops in 15ml of carrier oil for a richly scented massage blend.

For hair care. Add 2–3 drops to a tablespoon of jojoba or coconut oil, massage into the scalp, leave 20–30 minutes, then wash out thoroughly.

In perfumery. A single drop added to any blend provides depth and longevity.

One ingredient. 100% Ylang ylang (Cananga odorata) oil — nothing blended in.

Cool, dark, tightly capped. Heat and daylight age the oil fastest — store the bottle upright, away from direct sun.

General guide. Stored properly, most single-botanical oils hold their character for a year or more; treat that as guidance and follow any date on the bottle first.

Mind what it sits on. Undiluted oil can mark polished or painted surfaces — decant over something wipeable.

Dilute before skin contact. Always mix into a carrier oil before applying to skin — do not apply undiluted.

Patch test first. Test a small area of skin before full application.

Use sparingly. Excessive use can cause headache in some people — start with small amounts and adjust.

Away from eyes, never swallowed. Keep clear of eyes, inner ears, and mucous membranes; rinse with plenty of water and seek advice if irritation persists.

Caution: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with eyes, broken skin, and sensitive areas. Always dilute before skin application.
