Namaste Incense Cones in Jasmine are dhoop cones, handcrafted from pure sandalwood powder with aromatic roots, resins, herbs and natural essential oils. Soft, refreshing jasmine floral, burning for approximately twenty to thirty minutes per cone.
Dhoop is the specification worth understanding. A dhoop cone is aromatic material all the way through — the sandalwood powder, the roots, the resins are the cone — where a cheaper cone is a neutral base with fragrance applied to the surface at the end. What burns is the material rather than a coating on it.
That construction is also why the jasmine reads the way it does. A floral on its own can turn sharp in a closed room after ten minutes; here there is sandalwood underneath giving it somewhere to sit, and the result is soft rather than insistent.
Twenty to thirty minutes is a useful length for a cone. Cones burn more concentrated than sticks, so a shorter session is generally the right one, and it is long enough to carry a prayer, a sitting, or a quiet half-hour at the end of a day without saturating the room.
