Pourquoi choisir notre Encens

This is the whole incense range in one place — every format we carry, across the Indian, Tibetan, Nepali, and Japanese houses. If you already know what you burn, the sub-collections will get you there faster; if you are choosing between formats, the sections below explain what actually separates them.

Benefits of Shopping the Full Range

Format changes the experience more than fragrance does. A stick scents a whole room slowly; a cone gives you the same scent concentrated into twenty minutes; resin on charcoal is stronger again and closer to how incense was burned before sticks existed. Keeping them together makes those differences easy to compare rather than something you discover after buying the wrong thing.

How to Choose Incense

Start with the room and the time you have. For everyday use in a living space, incense sticks are the easiest starting point. For a smaller room or a shorter session, cones burn hotter and faster. For ceremony or a traditional practice, resin incense on charcoal gives the fullest scent but needs more setup. Whichever you choose, match it to the right holder before you burn it.

Popular Types

Sticks & Cones

The everyday formats, covering the widest fragrance range and needing the least equipment.

Resin, Powder & Rope

The traditional formats, stronger in scent and used in ceremony, ritual, and Himalayan practice.

How to Use

Light the tip, let the flame catch for a few seconds, then blow it out so the ember glows. Always use a heatproof holder or burner on a stable surface, away from curtains, paper, and anything else flammable, and burn in a ventilated room. Never leave burning incense unattended, keep it out of reach of children and pets, and let ash cool completely before disposing of it.

Questions fréquemment posées

What is the difference between sticks, cones, and backflow cones?

Sticks burn longest and scent the widest area. Standard cones burn faster and more intensely, which suits smaller rooms. Backflow cones are hollow-cored and made specifically for a backflow burner, where the smoke falls downward as a visible waterfall.

How long does incense burn?

A standard stick runs roughly 30 to 60 minutes depending on thickness and brand, and cones usually 15 to 25 minutes. Rope and resin vary more, since resin burns only as long as the charcoal beneath it stays hot.

Do I need a special burner?

You need something to catch ash and hold the incense safely. Sticks need a holder with a channel or hole, cones need a heatproof dish, resin and powder need charcoal in a burner with sand, and backflow cones need a backflow burner specifically.

Which incense brands do you stock?

The range spans the well-known Indian houses alongside Tibetan, Nepali, and Japanese makers, so you can compare hand-rolled masala, fluxo, and dipped styles side by side rather than guessing between them.

How should I burn incense safely?

Use a heatproof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, paper, and anything else flammable, in a ventilated room. Never leave burning incense unattended, keep it out of reach of children and pets, and let ash cool fully before disposing of it.
