Our candle range runs from three-hour tea lights to seven-day vigil candles, covering ritual and altar use, scented home fragrance, and plain decorative candles. The formats behave very differently, so the sections below are organised around burn time and purpose rather than scent alone.
Benefits of the Range
Format decides most of what a candle is good for. Tea lights are cheap enough to use several at once and are what most oil burners need anyway. Votives and tapers suit a table or an altar for an evening. Seven-day glass candles are built to burn continuously, which makes them the traditional choice for vigil and novena practice but also means they need somewhere genuinely safe to stand for a week. Keeping all of them together makes it easier to pick by how long you need the flame.
How to Choose a Candle
Work backwards from the occasion. For scent in a living room, a scented candle in a jar gives the best throw. For altar or ritual work, spiritual candles and 7 day candles are the traditional formats. For an oil burner or a warmer, you want unscented tea lights so the candle does not fight the oil.
Popular Types
Ritual & Vigil
Seven-day glass candles, spiritual and saint candles, and plain tapers for altar work.
Scented & Everyday
Jar and votive candles for home fragrance, plus tea lights for burners and warmers.
How to Use
On the first lighting, let the melt pool reach the full width of the container before putting it out, or the candle will tunnel for the rest of its life. Trim the wick to about a quarter inch each time. Burn on a heatproof surface away from anything flammable, keep candles out of reach of children and pets, and never leave one unattended — seven-day candles included, which is exactly why they need a sink or metal tray rather than a shelf. Matching holders and burners are in their own collection.
