True Jasmine Note. The fragrance is rolled into the stick itself rather than sprayed on the outside, so a true, sweet floral jasmine note carries evenly from the first light to the last inch instead of fading halfway through the burn.

~150 Sticks Per Box. Twelve 15-gram packs add up to roughly 144-168 sticks in one box — enough for months of regular use rather than a handful of trial sticks.

30-Minute Burn Time. Each 8-inch stick burns for approximately half an hour once lit, long enough to scent a room fully without needing to relight partway through.

Hand-Rolled, No Child Labor. Satya states its sticks are hand-rolled in India with no animal by-products and no child labor in production, and packaged in recyclable paper.

Light the tip. Hold a flame to the very tip of the stick for 10-15 seconds until it catches.

Let it settle to an ember. Blow out the flame gently — the tip should glow orange and release a thin stream of smoke rather than staying alight.

Set it in a holder. Place the stick upright or at an angle in a heat-safe incense holder, positioned away from drafts, curtains, and anything flammable.

Let it burn undisturbed. A full stick takes about 30 minutes to burn down; moving it while lit can drop hot ash.

Extinguish and store. Once burned down, make sure the ember is fully out before leaving the room, and store the remaining sticks in the box, away from heat and humidity.

Satya's Natural series sticks are hand-rolled around a bamboo core using a paste of fragrance materials bound with charcoal and a natural binder; the exact formulation behind the jasmine note is proprietary to Satya and not published by the manufacturer. If you have known fragrance sensitivities or allergies, we recommend burning a single stick in a well-ventilated space before regular use.

Store the box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, both of which can dull the fragrance and make the sticks brittle. Kept this way, incense sticks generally hold their scent well for 12-24 months, though this is general guidance rather than a supplier-stated date, since Satya does not print an expiration date on the box. Because one box holds roughly 150 sticks, buy a quantity you'll realistically burn through rather than stockpiling more than a year's worth.

This is a burning product that produces an open ember and smoke when lit. Always burn it in a well-ventilated room, on a stable, heat-safe holder or dish, well away from curtains, papers, and other flammable material. Never leave a burning stick or cone unattended, and keep both the lit product and the ash it produces out of reach of children and pets. Fully extinguish the ember in sand, water, or a dedicated ash catcher before leaving the room, and let the holder cool before handling or emptying the ash.
