Get settled. Sit comfortably with the bowl resting on a flat, stable surface, cushion, or the palm of your open hand.

Strike gently. Tap the rim once with the included striker or mallet, using a firm but gentle motion rather than a hard hit.

Circle for sustain. To draw out a longer, sustained tone, run the striker around the outside of the rim in slow, steady circles with light, even pressure.

Let it ring. Allow the tone to ring out fully and fade on its own before striking again.

Clean and store. Wipe the bowl with a soft, dry cloth after use and store it somewhere padded and stable, away from the edge of a shelf or table.

Store dry. Keep the bowl somewhere dry; prolonged damp storage can dull a metal finish or encourage tarnish over time.

It doesn't expire. As a reusable metal instrument rather than a consumable, there's no shelf life to track, just ordinary care for the finish over years of use.

Handle with care. Striking the bowl too hard, or with a hard metal object instead of the included striker, can dent the rim and affect its tone.

Keep it stable. Set the bowl on a flat, non-slip surface or cushion so it can't tip or roll off a table.

Not a toy. Keep it out of reach of small children who may play with the striker or bowl in ways that could scratch the metal or cause a minor injury.

Skin sensitivity, brass/copper items. Some people notice mild skin sensitivity from extended contact with brass or copper - handle the bowl by its rim or base rather than gripping it tightly for long periods if that applies to you.

Caution: Strike the bowl gently rather than forcefully to avoid denting or damaging the metal, keep it away from small children who may treat it as a toy, and store it somewhere it won't be knocked off a shelf or table.
