Macadamia nut oil is cold-pressed from macadamia nuts into a medium-weight oil with a mild, buttery-nutty aroma and a pale golden color. What sets it apart is a genuinely notable palmitoleic acid (omega-7) content — a fatty acid found in relatively few plant oils and naturally present in human skin's own sebum.
Many people use it as a daily face and body moisturizer, a massage oil, or a hair and scalp conditioning treatment. Its silky finish absorbs well without leaving a heavy residue, making it a comfortable everyday choice for normal-to-dry skin.
It also works well as a carrier base for essential oil blends, at roughly 1% dilution for the face or 2–3% for the body.
