In a diffuser. 3–5 drops; for focused work, blend 3 drops basil with 2 drops lemon and 2 drops rosemary.

For massage. Dilute 2–3 drops in a tablespoon of carrier oil and apply to temples, neck, and shoulders.

For steam inhalation. Add 2 drops to a bowl of hot water, cover with a towel, and breathe deeply for 5–10 minutes.

For a bath. Mix 3–4 drops with a tablespoon of carrier oil and add to warm bathwater.

One ingredient. 100% Basil (Ocimum basilicum) oil — nothing blended in.

Cool, dark, tightly capped. Heat and daylight age the oil fastest — store the bottle upright, away from direct sun.

General guide. Stored properly, most single-botanical oils hold their character for a year or more; treat that as guidance and follow any date on the bottle first.

Mind what it sits on. Undiluted oil can mark polished or painted surfaces — decant over something wipeable.

Dilute before skin contact. Always mix into a carrier oil before applying to skin — do not apply undiluted.

Patch test first. Test a small area of skin before full application, especially with sensitive skin.

Use in moderation. Best used at moderate dilution rather than daily high-concentration exposure.

Care with pregnancy. Not recommended during pregnancy without professional guidance.
