Onion Biotin Shampoo Bar

If your hair feels thin, fragile or prone to shedding, the Onion & Biotin Shampoo Bar is a simple, gentle upgrade to your routine — combining two popular natural ingredients for scalp care and hair strength in an eco-friendly, plastic-free bar.

An honest note: this is a cosmetic hair-care product that cleanses, conditions and strengthens hair so it looks fuller. It's not a medical treatment for hair loss — if you're experiencing significant shedding or thinning, please see a doctor or dermatologist.

Why Onion and Biotin?

Onion extract is rich in sulfur, a building block of keratin, and has a long history in traditional hair care; some small studies have looked at onion extract for the scalp and hair with encouraging results, though the research is limited. Biotin (Vitamin B7) is associated with keratin production and, in a bar, helps condition and strengthen strands so they break less. The bar also includes rosemary extract for scalp balance and collagen for a conditioned, fuller feel.

Why a Shampoo Bar?

Shampoo bars are more concentrated and sustainable than bottled shampoo, with no water-diluting fillers. They're also:

  • Plastic-free and genuinely eco-friendly
  • Compact for the gym, travel or a tidy shelf
  • No liquid restrictions for air travel
  • No spills or half-empty bottles
  • Long-lasting — often 2–3 times an equivalent bottle

Who It Suits

  • People noticing more shedding or fragile, fine hair that lacks density
  • Anyone wanting a natural, chemical-free way to care for the scalp
  • Sensitive scalps that react to conventional shampoo surfactants
  • Eco-conscious shoppers cutting plastic waste

It works across hair types; very dry hair may want a conditioner on the mid-lengths and ends.

How to Use

  1. Wet hair thoroughly with warm water.
  2. Wet the bar and rub between your palms to build a lather, or apply directly to the scalp.
  3. Massage in circular motions for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Work the lather through the lengths.
  5. Rinse well — a cool final rinse adds shine.
  6. Store on a draining dish to prolong its life.

Use 2–3 times a week, and give it several weeks of consistent use to judge the improvement in condition and fullness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does onion extract help hair?
Onion is sulfur-rich and traditionally used in hair care, and some small studies are encouraging, but evidence is limited — think of it as supportive scalp care rather than a guaranteed result.

Will my hair smell like onion?
No — in a rinse-out bar the scent fades quickly and isn't noticeable once hair dries.

Is it good for sensitive scalps?
Yes — it's sulfate-free and gentle; patch-test first if you have known sensitivities.

How long does one bar last?
Stored on a draining dish, the 60g bar typically lasts 4–6 weeks with regular use.
