In an oil burner or diffuser. 3–5 drops in the water dish or reservoir for a full-room scent.

In candle making. 6–10% of total wax weight at 65–70°C, stirred in for two minutes before pouring.

In wax melts. 8–12% fragrance load for the strongest, longest-lasting throw.

In soap making. 3–5% of total oil weight in cold or hot process, tested in one small batch first.

Each bottle is its own extract. How one performs in a diffuser doesn't predict how another will — test each individually.

Documentation on request. If you need an IFRA statement or allergen declaration for a specific scent, ask before ordering so we can check what the supplier holds.

Cool, dark, tightly capped. Heat and daylight age these oils fastest — store the bottles upright, away from direct sun.

Citrus and florals soften soonest. Lemon, sweet orange, jasmine and rose are more delicate than woodier notes like sandalwood and cedarwood.

General guide. Stored properly, a bottle typically holds its character for a year or more; treat that as guidance and follow any date on the bottle first.

Mind what it sits on. Undiluted oil can mark polished or painted surfaces — decant over something wipeable.

Dilute before skin contact. This is sold undiluted — mix into a carrier oil before any skin use, and patch-test first.

Away from eyes, never swallowed. Keep clear of eyes and mucous membranes; rinse with plenty of water and seek advice if irritation persists.

Out of reach of children and pets. Store where it cannot be reached, and site any burner or diffuser where it cannot be knocked over.

The hot oils. Clove, black pepper and cinnamon irritate skin at concentrations gentler oils tolerate easily — treat them as the exception in any recipe.

Caution: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with eyes, broken skin, and sensitive areas. Dilute in a carrier oil before any skin application and patch-test first. Take particular care with clove, black pepper and cinnamon, which are strong skin sensitisers.
