MAYJAM 30ml Essential Oil – 30 Scents, the In-Between Size

The size that removes the jump. Most ranges make you leap from a bottle that runs out too fast to one that outlives your interest in it. Thirty millilitres exists to close that gap, and almost nobody stocks it.

Right for the second favourite. Everyone has one or two oils they burn through and half a dozen they reach for monthly. A hundred millilitres of that second group is money quietly oxidising in a cupboard.

One range, three sizes. Trial at 10ml, settle at 30ml, commit at 100ml — identical oils and identical colour-coding throughout, so nothing you learn at one size has to be relearned at the next.

Something to run them in. Tank size and run time decide the drop count more than any label can. The humidifier and diffuser range sets both out machine by machine.

Lavender that lasts a whole winter. About six hundred drops — four to six months of regular diffusing. Long enough to find out whether a scent still pleases you in February as much as it did in October.

Frankincense you can be generous with. Resins and woods only get rounder with a year behind them, so the larger bottle genuinely rewards you. Nothing here has to be rationed a drop at a time.

Thirty botanicals, several hard to find. Alongside the everyday citrus and herbs sit fennel, cajeput, camphor, clary sage and basil — oils most ranges leave out entirely, sold singly here.

A colour for every scent. One colour block per oil on the label. Thirty small brown bottles look identical in a drawer until somebody gives them colours, and MAYJAM has.

Three to five drops in a diffuser. Per 100ml of water, then adjust. Peppermint, camphor, cinnamon, clove and cajeput carry much further than the florals — start those at the low end and work up over a few sessions.

On skin, only diluted. Six to twelve drops per 30ml of carrier oil for the body, half that for the face, patch tested first. Keep cinnamon, clove and lemongrass out of skin blends entirely.

In water, mix into something first. For a bath or foot soak, stir four to eight drops into a tablespoon of carrier oil or unscented base before it goes in. Neat oil floats and lands on skin at full strength.

A size that suits making things. Thirty millilitres covers several small batches of candles, melts or bath salts without the outlay of a full-size bottle. Note the drop counts as you go and the good ones stay repeatable.

Clean between scents. Run the diffuser dry and wipe the reservoir when you switch. Residue from the last oil muddies the next, which is usually why a new scent smells wrong on day one.

One botanical per bottle. Each variant is a single named oil rather than a blend, which is what lets you write a mixture down in drops and repeat it months later.

What the price can and cannot buy. The lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, tea tree, rosemary, lemongrass, citronella and citrus oils are genuinely affordable at this scale. Rose, jasmine, sandalwood and vanilla are not — and jasmine and vanilla cannot be steam-distilled into essential oil at all. Treat those as scent, not skincare material.

About the label wording. Every bottle reads “100% essential oil, premium quality”. That is MAYJAM's own wording rather than a certification any authority issues; we report it without adopting it.

Claims we leave out. The supplier's images list medical effects per oil, including claims about sexual desire, menstrual pain, muscle strain, flatulence and immunity. None of that is carried over here.

A size that outlives its citrus. Thirty millilitres of lemon or grapefruit may well start turning before you finish it. Buy the citrus small and the woods and resins large — that is the whole trick with sizing.

Cap it firmly, store it cool. Air replaces what you use, and air is what ages an opened oil. Screw the cap fully down and keep the bottle upright in a cupboard rather than beside the diffuser.

Resins only improve. Frankincense, sandalwood, patchouli and cedarwood get rounder with a year or two behind them, so the larger size is genuinely better value for those.

Judge it by the smell. Sharp or faintly varnish-like means the oil has oxidised, and an oxidised oil irritates skin more readily. Move it to cleaning sprays and diffusing rather than throwing it out.

Never neat on skin, never swallowed. Dilute in a carrier oil before any skin contact and do not ingest these. Cinnamon, clove, lemongrass, black pepper and ginger are the most likely here to sting or burn undiluted.

Camphor and fennel need care. Both carry real cautions — camphor around infants and young children, fennel in pregnancy and for anyone with a hormone-sensitive condition or epilepsy. Ask a qualified professional before using either on the body.

Citrus oils and sunlight. Bergamot, lemon and grapefruit can make skin burn more easily in sun. Keep them off exposed skin for at least twelve hours before daylight, or diffuse them instead.

Children, pregnancy and pets. Peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary, clary sage and cinnamon all carry cautions in pregnancy or around young children, and cats tolerate diffused oils poorly. Ventilate the room and stop if anyone — or any animal — seems unsettled.

Away from heat, flame and reach. Store capped and cool, clear of heat sources and naked flame, out of reach of children and pets, and wipe spills at once — undiluted oil marks polished wood, paint and some plastics.

Caution: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with eyes, broken skin, and sensitive areas. Always dilute in a carrier oil before applying to skin, and patch test any oil you have not used before.
