Black Lodestone Magnetite Tumbled Stones

Genuine natural magnetism is rare enough among minerals that many "magnetic hematite" or "lodestone" products sold cheaply are actually manufactured magnetic materials rather than real magnetite. This listing is authentic lodestone — you can verify the magnetism yourself with a small metal object.

Because true lodestone is a genuinely uncommon find, it's a distinctive addition to a mineral collection beyond its decorative tumbled finish — something with a physically demonstrable property rather than only a color or shape to admire.

It makes an interesting pairing next to other unusual minerals in our Tumbled Stone collection, where most stones are chosen for color rather than a physical property like this one.

Quantity tiers from 1 to 50 pieces make this workable for an individual buyer as well as someone stocking multiple pieces for a class, workshop, or group activity.

Genuinely Magnetic Mineral. Lodestone (magnetite) is one of only a handful of naturally occurring minerals with real, testable magnetism — most magnetic material is manufactured, not mined.

Rare Natural Property. You can check this yourself: hold a small metal object like a paperclip near the stone and feel the pull.

1 to 50-Piece Sets. Quantity options from a single piece to 50 pieces suit a solo buyer and a group class or workshop alike.

Smooth Tumbled Finish. Despite its unusual magnetic property, this is a conventionally tumbled stone — rounded and comfortable to hold.

Choose a quantity. 1 piece suits an individual purchase; 10–50 pieces suits a class, workshop, or group setting.

Test the magnetism. Hold a small metal item like a paperclip near the stone to feel the natural pull — this is expected and confirms authenticity.

Store away from electronics. Keep pieces a reasonable distance from magnetic media, credit card strips, and sensitive electronics, since the magnetism is real.

Handle and display. The tumbled finish makes it comfortable to hold or display on a desk or shelf like any other tumbled stone.

This is genuine lodestone — naturally magnetized magnetite, an iron oxide mineral — tumbled and polished with no dye or coating. The magnetic property is inherent to the mineral itself, not an added component.

Lodestone does not expire, and its natural magnetism does not wear off under normal handling. Store it away from magnetic storage media, credit cards, and sensitive electronics as a general precaution, given its real magnetic field.

Individual pieces are a choking hazard for young children and pets — keep out of reach. Because this stone is genuinely magnetic, keep it away from pacemakers, other medical devices, and magnetic storage media.

Caution: For external use only as a decorative and meditation aid. Keep out of reach of young children and pets — these are small, loose stones and present a choking and small-parts hazard if swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes and broken skin.
