Position it. Set the burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface where all three legs sit flat.

Set it in place. Stand the cone upright inside the cutout housing and let it burn down undisturbed.

Clear the ash. Once fully cooled, tip out any loose ash and wipe the brass with a dry cloth before the next use.
