Set it level. Place the burner on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts or open windows.

Add the cone. Seat a backflow (reflux) incense cone over the vent at the top of the terraced surface.

Light, then blow out. Light the tip, let it burn a few seconds until it glows steadily, then gently blow out the flame.

Watch the flow. Smoke should sink and travel down the terraced carving; a still room gives the smoothest cascade.

Clean once cool. Wipe the surface with a soft cloth after it cools to keep the carved channels clear.

Material. This burner is handcrafted from kiln-fired ceramic in an alpine, terraced carving, available in two surface patterns.

Construction. Because each piece is individually fired, minor variation in glaze depth and finish between units is normal.

Storage. Keep on a stable surface away from the edge of a shelf; store somewhere dry when not in regular use.

Cleaning. Let it cool fully, then wipe with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth to clear residue from the terraced surface. There's no shelf life to track for the ceramic itself, only for the incense cones you burn in it.

Open flame. A backflow cone burns with a small open flame while lighting — never leave a lit cone unattended, and extinguish it fully before leaving the room.

Placement. Use on a heat-resistant, level surface away from curtains and other flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets.

Handling. Let the burner and any cone residue cool completely before touching, and handle the ceramic gently to avoid chipping.
