Engraved Wood Pentacle Ash Catcher

The Engraved Wood Pentacle Ash Catcher carries a wood-burned pentacle — a five-pointed star inside a circle — across an extra-wide natural wood base. The symbol holds real significance in modern Pagan and Wiccan practice, commonly representing the five classical elements, which makes this piece as suited to an altar as it is to everyday incense use.

Measuring approximately 2 1/4 inches wide by 10 1/4 inches long, the catcher is wider than a typical incense tray, giving it enough surface to hold the ash from an entire stick burn without spilling over the sides. A groove down the center keeps the incense stick upright and channels the falling ash directly into the tray beneath it.

Each piece is individually handmade and wood-burned, so the wood grain and the exact shading of the pentacle design vary slightly between catchers — a natural feature of handcrafted work, not an inconsistency, and part of what makes each one a little different from the next.

The catcher fits a wide range of standard incense stick sizes. As with any incense accessory, burn only on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from curtains, paper, or other flammable items, keep it out of reach of children and pets while lit, and never leave burning incense unattended. Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth; avoid water, which can dull the finish over time.
