Hem 7 Power Incense Sticks

Rooted in ritual and folk tradition. Like Hem's 7 African Powers blend, the “7 Power” name follows Yoruba-derived Orisha traditions, including Santería, where the Seven African Powers are venerated together. We offer this fragrance in recognition of that living religious and cultural tradition, intended for those already practicing within it or drawn to it respectfully, for use in prayer, ceremony, or personal reflection.

Traditional production. The fragrance is worked into the paste itself rather than sprayed on afterward, so it holds through the stick's burn.

7 Power Note. A heavy, floral fragrance blend, similar in style to Hem's 7 African Powers line but with a more pronounced floral note, dipped by hand into each stick rather than machine-extruded.

20 Sticks per Pack. A standard-size pack, about 20 grams total, enough for regular use without committing to a large bundle.

~30-40 Minute Burn. A typical burn time for a standard round dipped incense stick.

Hand-Dipped in India. Made using Hem's traditional dipping methods, the same production line behind the brand's wider incense range.

Light the tip. Hold a flame to the tip of the stick for 10-15 seconds until it catches.

Let it settle to an ember. Blow out the flame gently — the tip should glow and release a steady stream of smoke.

Set it in a holder. Place the stick upright or at an angle in a heat-safe incense holder, away from drafts, curtains, and anything flammable.

Let it burn undisturbed. A full stick takes roughly 30-40 minutes to burn down; avoid moving it while lit.

Extinguish and store. Once burned down, confirm the ember is fully out before leaving the room, and store remaining sticks away from heat and humidity.

Hem's incense sticks are hand-dipped around a bamboo core using a paste of fragrance materials bound with charcoal and a natural binder; the exact formulation behind the 7 power note is proprietary to Hem and not published by the manufacturer. If you have known fragrance sensitivities or allergies, we recommend burning a single stick in a well-ventilated space before regular use.

Store packs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, both of which can dull the fragrance and make the sticks brittle. Kept this way, incense sticks generally hold their scent well for 12-24 months, though this is general guidance rather than a supplier-stated date, since Hem does not print an expiration date on the packaging.

This is a burning product that produces an open ember and smoke when lit. Always burn it in a well-ventilated room, on a stable, heat-safe holder or dish, well away from curtains, papers, and other flammable material. Never leave a burning stick or cone unattended, and keep both the lit product and the ash it produces out of reach of children and pets. Fully extinguish the ember in sand, water, or a dedicated ash catcher before leaving the room, and let the holder cool before handling or emptying the ash.
