Hem Musk Masala Incense Sticks

A well-established incense house. Hem is one of the longer-running Indian incense manufacturers, known for hand-rolled masala sticks made in small batches.

A distinctive masala blend. A deep, mysterious fragrance crafted from a unique blend of rare herbs, flowers, and aromatic plants, well suited to everyday relaxation and a calm atmosphere, offered purely as fragrance for everyday ambiance.

Traditional masala production. The fragrance materials are worked into the stick's paste core rather than sprayed on afterward, so the scent holds through the full burn.

Pair it with a proper holder from our Incense Holder & Burner collection.

Musk Masala Note. A deep, mysterious fragrance crafted from a unique blend of rare herbs, flowers, and aromatic plants, well suited to everyday relaxation and a calm atmosphere, hand-rolled rather than machine-extruded.

15g Box. Hem's standard masala-stick box size, a compact amount for trying a new scent.

~30-45 Minute Burn. A typical burn time for a hand-rolled masala incense stick.

Hand-Rolled Masala. Made using Hem's traditional masala-rolling methods, the same production line behind the brand's wider incense range.

Light the tip. Hold a flame to the tip of the stick for 10-15 seconds until it catches.

Let it settle to an ember. Blow out the flame gently — the tip should glow and release a steady stream of smoke.

Set it in a holder. Place the stick upright or at an angle in a heat-safe incense holder, away from drafts, curtains, and anything flammable.

Let it burn undisturbed. A full stick takes roughly 30-45 minutes to burn down; avoid moving it while lit.

Extinguish and store. Once burned down, confirm the ember is fully out before leaving the room, and store the remaining box away from heat and humidity.

Hem's masala incense sticks are hand-rolled using a paste of herbs, flowers, resins, and essential oils bound around a bamboo core; the exact formulation behind the musk masala note is proprietary to Hem and not published by the manufacturer. If you have known fragrance sensitivities or allergies, we recommend burning a single stick in a well-ventilated space before regular use.

Store the box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, both of which can dull the fragrance and make the sticks brittle. Kept this way, incense sticks generally hold their scent well for 12-24 months, though this is general guidance rather than a supplier-stated date, since Hem does not print an expiration date on the packaging.

This is a burning product that produces an open ember and smoke when lit. Always burn it in a well-ventilated room, on a stable, heat-safe holder or dish, well away from curtains, papers, and other flammable material. Never leave a burning stick or cone unattended, and keep both the lit product and the ash it produces out of reach of children and pets. Fully extinguish the ember in sand, water, or a dedicated ash catcher before leaving the room, and let the holder cool before handling or emptying the ash.

Caution: Keep burning incense on a stable, heat-safe holder or dish, away from curtains, papers, and anything flammable. Never leave a burning stick or cone unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
