One bottle, not a set — and the old page said otherwise. The previous version of this listing described a six-bottle set and named contents including lemon and sweet orange, neither of which is sold here. That was wrong. This is a single 100ml bottle and you choose one of twelve scents at checkout.

Paperwork most sellers cannot produce. HIQILI publishes a safety data sheet, IFRA conformity certificate, allergen declaration, certificate of analysis and a GC profile. The GC analysis is the one that matters — a chemical fingerprint of what is actually in the bottle, and the only real answer to “is this pure?”. Ask before ordering and we will request the set for your oil.

“Therapeutic grade”, and what it is worth. The box carries that phrase, as almost every essential oil box does. No regulator or standards body issues such a grade, so it is the maker’s own wording rather than an independent certification — which is exactly why the GC analysis above is the claim worth asking for instead.

Honest about the rose and jasmine. At 100ml for this price, treat those two as scented preparations built around the flower rather than true absolutes. The eucalyptus, tea tree, peppermint, citronella, clove and cinnamon raise no such question, and they are the reason to be on this page.

Somewhere to run them. Eucalyptus and peppermint fill a room fast and want a shorter session than the heavy oils. The humidifier and diffuser range covers ultrasonic and cold-air units, and the oil burners need only a tealight.

Eucalyptus that is actually named. This is Eucalyptus globulus specifically — camphorous, fresh and woody, the sharp one — steam-distilled from the leaves in China, with roughly four kilos of leaf behind every hundred millilitres. “Eucalyptus” covers several different species that smell noticeably different, so naming which one is not a detail.

Tea tree and citronella live here. Neither appears on any of our other HIQILI pages. Together with eucalyptus, peppermint and clove, this is the practical half of the range — the oils that go into a summer terrace, a laundry rinse or a winter room rather than a perfume.

The size that matches the habit. Nobody rations eucalyptus. These are working oils used by the tankful, and HIQILI's own artwork makes the point that the larger bottle costs less per millilitre. At 100ml you stop thinking about it.

Fitted glass dropper. Counted drops rather than an uncontrolled glug from a reducer cap, which matters more with the strong oils on this page than with anything gentle.

In a diffuser. Five to ten drops per 100ml of water, and fewer for eucalyptus and peppermint, which carry further than their weight suggests. Rinse the reservoir between oils — clove and cinnamon leave residue that colours whatever runs next.

On skin, always diluted. One to two percent in a carrier oil for the body, six to twelve drops in 30ml, and half that on the face. Tea tree and clove want the lower end, and a patch test is worth the day it costs.

In homemade cleaning products. Tea tree, eucalyptus, lemon-adjacent oils and peppermint are the classic choices for surface sprays and laundry rinses, and 100ml is the size that makes that practical rather than precious. Shake well — oil and water separate.

On a summer terrace. Citronella is the outdoor oil, and it works best in a burner or a candle where heat keeps it moving, rather than in a diffuser indoors.

Steam inhalation. Three or four drops of eucalyptus in a bowl of hot water, head under a towel, eyes closed, water kept below boiling. Not suitable for young children.

One botanical per bottle. Each variant is a single plant's oil rather than a blend, and you choose which at checkout. The eucalyptus is Eucalyptus globulus of the Myrtaceae family, steam-distilled from the leaves, described by HIQILI as camphorous, fresh, sweet and woodsy.

Twelve botanicals, twelve chemistries. Peppermint is thin and volatile, sandalwood thick and slow, clove hot on skin where eucalyptus is not. Nothing you establish with one carries over automatically to another.

Additive-free, per the maker. HIQILI states no additives or carriers and marks the range non-GMO and not tested on animals. The GC profile is the document that substantiates the first of those, and we can request it for a specific oil.

Four years for the eucalyptus. HIQILI states four years for this oil stored properly. Treat that as the maker's figure rather than a guarantee, and follow any date printed on the bottle in preference to it.

Cool, dark, capped, upright. Store the bottle standing so oil is not sitting against the dropper bulb, keep the cap firm between uses, and keep it away from radiators and sunny sills.

Eucalyptus and peppermint fade in character. Both are volatile and lose their edge before they show any other sign of age. If the sharpness has gone flat, the oil is past its best whatever the date says.

Mind what it stands on. Undiluted essential oil marks polished and painted surfaces and softens some plastics. Decant over something wipeable and clear spills straight away.

Never neat, never swallowed. Dilute before any skin contact, patch test each new oil, keep them clear of eyes and mucous membranes, and do not take them internally. Eucalyptus in particular is dangerous if ingested, especially by children.

Eucalyptus and peppermint around young children. Both are commonly flagged as unsuitable for babies and young children, including in a diffuser running in a closed room. Ventilate, keep sessions short, and ask a professional if in doubt.

Tea tree, clove and cinnamon on skin. All three irritate at concentrations the gentler oils tolerate easily. Keep them well diluted and off broken skin, and never use tea tree undiluted despite what the internet says.

Pets, and citronella especially. Several oils here — tea tree and citronella among them — are poorly tolerated by cats and dogs. Diffuse only in a room a pet can leave freely, and keep every bottle out of reach.

Steam inhalation, carefully. Keep the water below boiling, eyes closed, and stop if it feels harsh in the throat. Not for young children.

Caution: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with eyes, broken skin, and sensitive areas. Eucalyptus is dangerous if swallowed, especially by children, and eucalyptus and peppermint are commonly flagged as unsuitable for babies and young children.
