Built for machines, not misting bottles. This goes neat into a scent machine's reservoir and is metered out by the unit. That is what holds a space at one level all day, rather than the peaks and troughs of anything applied by hand.

The size that matches a venue. A hundred millilitres is a domestic quantity. If a machine runs through opening hours, half a litre is what makes the reorder cycle sensible — and it is the same oil, so nothing changes when you scale up from a trial.

Priced by profile. The seventeen scents are separate formulations and some cost more to compose than others, so each carries its own price rather than an average across the range. You pay for the profile you chose.

The machines to run it in. Cold-air and nebulising units suit it best. The humidifier and diffuser range lists what each unit accepts, which is worth checking before committing to a bottle this size.

Notes published, not implied. Every profile has its top, middle and base notes set out in the product images — Sony runs vanilla, then violet, then sandalwood and amber. Choosing half a litre of scent from an adjective is guesswork; choosing it from a note structure is not.

Half a litre, about 10,000 drops. For most venues that means months between reorders rather than weeks. The saving is less about unit price than about not running dry halfway through a Saturday.

Light-proof aluminium. Daylight ages an aroma oil faster than anything else, and metal admits none of it. For a bottle that sits in a plant room or stockroom for months, that matters more than how it looks.

Seventeen hotel profiles. Enough range to give a lobby, a treatment suite and a retail floor each their own character — or to run one signature scent across all of them from a single reorder line.

Into the reservoir, neat. Cold-air and nebulising scent machines take this oil undiluted into their reservoir. Fill to the level your unit's manual specifies rather than to a fixed measure — capacities differ widely between machines.

Check before using it in water. Water-based ultrasonic diffusers vary: some manufacturers permit aroma oil in the tank, others specify essential oil alone. Consult the manual first, and if it is permitted, three to ten drops per 100ml of water is the usual range.

Start low, raise over days. Set the output to its lowest useful level and increase it over two or three days. People working in a scented space adapt to it, so the level that reads as right on arrival is usually too strong by mid-afternoon.

Clean between profiles. Run the machine dry and wipe the reservoir before changing scent. Residue from the previous oil mixes with the new one and muddies both, which is the usual reason a switched profile smells wrong.

Storage. Keep the bottle tightly capped and upright, somewhere cool and away from heat. The aluminium handles the light; the cap handles the air.

A composed aroma blend. Each profile is a formulated fragrance built to a brief rather than a single-botanical distillate, which is what allows a named hotel character to be reproduced consistently from batch to batch.

Composition varies by profile. The seventeen are separate formulations, so nothing established about one applies to another — including how it behaves in a particular machine.

Documentation for commercial use. If you are scenting a workplace, clinic, gym or other public space and need an allergen declaration or safety data sheet for a specific profile, ask before ordering so we can check what the supplier holds for it. Venues with staff working in the space full time should ask as a matter of course.

The bottle does half the work. Sealed aluminium keeps daylight off the oil entirely, which removes the main cause of ageing. What is left to you is heat and air: store it cool and keep the cap tight between fills.

Upright, and away from the plant room heat. Half a litre is heavy enough that it usually gets stored wherever there is space. A warm cupboard beside machinery is the wrong place — a cool stockroom shelf is the right one.

General guide. The supplier quotes a shelf life of up to two years. Treat that as a best case for an unopened bottle stored properly rather than a guarantee, and follow any batch or date information on the bottle in preference to it.

Judge it by the scent. An aged aroma oil loses its opening lift first and reads flatter through a machine, even though nothing about it is unsafe. If a familiar profile suddenly seems weaker, check the oil before you turn the output up.

Scenting equipment only. This is an ambient aroma oil for diffuser and scent-machine reservoirs. It is not a skincare or massage product and not food — do not apply it to skin or swallow it.

Ventilate, and keep the level moderate. Scent a space with some air movement rather than a sealed one, and remember that staff experience the space for far longer than customers do. Stop if anyone reports headaches or irritation.

Handle a half-litre bottle carefully. Decant over a surface you can wipe. Concentrated aroma oil marks polished, painted and plastic finishes, and a spill at this volume is a great deal harder to deal with than a few drops.

Away from heat and flame. Store capped, cool and clear of heat sources and naked flame, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Only in machines rated for it. Putting aroma oil into a unit specified for water alone can damage it and usually voids the warranty. Check the manual before the first fill.
