100% patchouli. Steam-distilled from Pogostemon cablin leaves, with nothing added or diluted in the bottle.

One consistent chemistry. Because it's a single botanical, how it performs doesn't vary the way a blend's would — this is patchouli, at whatever concentration the size implies.

Cool, dark, capped, upright. Patchouli is one of the more stable essential oils and tends to hold — sometimes even deepen slightly — with age when stored well.

General guide. Typically holds its character for two years or more stored properly; treat that as guidance and follow any date on the bottle first.

Mind what it sits on. Undiluted oil can mark polished or painted surfaces — decant over something wipeable.

Dilute before skin contact. Mix with a carrier oil before any skin application, and patch test before wider use.

Away from eyes, never swallowed. Keep clear of eyes and mucous membranes; rinse with plenty of water and seek advice if irritation persists.

Pregnancy and children. As with most essential oils, check with a healthcare provider before use in pregnancy or around young children.

Out of reach of children and pets. Store where it cannot be reached, and diffuse briefly in a room a pet can leave freely.
