1. Use a backflow cone. Only cones with a hole at the bottom will create the waterfall effect.

2. Set it on a stable surface. Place the burner on a heat-resistant surface, ideally away from fans or drafts.

3. Light and settle. Light the tip of the cone, let it flame briefly, then gently blow it out.

4. Avoid drafts for a smoother flow. Keep it away from moving air so the smoke cascades smoothly rather than scattering.

What it isn't. This is the burner only; backflow incense cones are sold separately and any standard hollow-core cone works with it.

Storage. Let it cool completely, then wipe with a soft brush or cloth. For buildup, use a damp cloth with mild soap and dry fully before the next use.
