Product Details

Twelve bottles is the point at which a set stops being a sampler and becomes a collection. This one arrives in a black presentation box with the bottles seated in a tray: rose, frankincense, grapefruit, cedarwood, cinnamon, lemon, tea tree, sweet orange, lavender, mint, lemongrass and eucalyptus, 10ml of each.

The range matters more than the count. Twelve oils drawn from the same corner of the spectrum would be a poor set, however many bottles were in the box. These cover all three registers a blend is built from — lemon, grapefruit, sweet orange, mint and lemongrass at the bright top; lavender, rose, cinnamon and eucalyptus through the middle; cedarwood and frankincense at the base, where a blend needs weight to stop it evaporating within the hour. Tea tree sits slightly apart as the practical one.

Three to five drops per 100ml of water scents a room in any of the machines in our humidifier and diffuser range, and the same bottles work in a tealight oil burner. Diluted into a carrier at 1–2% they become body and massage blends; at craft rates they go into candles, melts and soap.

Each bottle holds roughly two hundred drops, so the box as a whole runs to around two thousand four hundred — enough to work through every scent properly and still have most of them left. As a gift it removes the hardest part of buying fragrance for someone else, which is guessing which single scent they would have chosen.

See the Diffuser Essential Oil collection for individual bottles and larger working sizes, or the wider Aromatherapy Oils range.

Why Choose the LAIFU 12-Piece Essential Oil Gift Set

The base notes are the difference. Cheap sets tend to be all citrus and mint, because those oils cost least. Including cedarwood and frankincense is what lets a blend last more than half an hour, and it is the first thing to check when comparing sets.

Twelve tries at finding your scent. Nobody knows which oil they will reach for until they have lived with a few. Twelve at 10ml is a proper trial of the whole spectrum, and whichever one wins is available separately in a 100ml working bottle.

Cheaper per bottle than buying one. Bought as a set, each 10ml bottle works out at a fraction of what the same oil costs on its own — well under the price of a single retail bottle. The breadth of the range is effectively what you are being given.

Something to run it in. If this is going to someone who does not own a machine, the humidifier and diffuser range pairs with it, and the oil burners need only a tealight.

LAIFU 12-Piece Essential Oil Gift Set Benefits

Twelve oils. Rose, frankincense, grapefruit, cedarwood, cinnamon, lemon, tea tree, sweet orange, lavender, mint, lemongrass and eucalyptus — 10ml of each. Buying them individually would cost several times what the box does.

Every register covered. Twelve oils from the same corner of the spectrum would be a poor set however many bottles it held. These span bright citrus and mint, floral and spiced middles, and cedarwood and frankincense at the base — which is what makes the box usable rather than merely generous.

Boxed to give. The bottles arrive seated in a tray inside a black presentation box, so there is nothing to wrap and no guessing which single scent someone would have chosen. It solves the hardest problem in buying fragrance for other people.

A real blending kit. Most sets give you scents to use one at a time. Twelve oils with base notes included give you the raw materials to build your own, which is a different and considerably longer-lasting hobby.

How to Use the LAIFU 12-Piece Essential Oil Gift Set

In a diffuser. Three to five drops per 100ml of water, adjusted to the room. Use a machine that states it is essential-oil compatible, and rinse the reservoir between scents so one does not carry into the next.

Work through them singly first. Run each oil on its own for a few sessions before mixing anything. A week of living with a scent tells you far more than a first impression from the bottle, and you cannot blend well with oils you do not know.

Then build a blend. Three parts top, two parts middle, one part base is a workable ratio — for instance three drops sweet orange, two lavender, one cedarwood. Count in drops, write down what you used, and leave it a day before judging.

On skin, only diluted. Never neat. Body use is 1–2% — about 6 to 12 drops per 30ml of carrier oil; halve that for face or sensitive skin. Patch test any new oil first.

Measuring. Twenty drops is roughly a millilitre, so each bottle holds about two hundred drops and the box around two thousand four hundred.

Main Ingredients

Twelve single-botanical oils. Each bottle holds one named oil rather than a blend — rose, frankincense, grapefruit, cedarwood, cinnamon, lemon, tea tree, sweet orange, lavender, mint, lemongrass and eucalyptus.

Composition differs by bottle. Cinnamon, rose and tea tree are chemically unalike, and behave differently on skin, in sunlight and in a blend. Nothing established about one carries across to another.

Documentation on request. The packaging carries the manufacturer's own descriptive wording. If you need composition, batch or allergen information for a particular bottle — for professional use or a recipient with sensitive skin — ask before ordering so we can check what the supplier holds.

Shelf Life & Storage

Keep them in the box. The tray holds the bottles upright and the lid keeps the light off them, which is most of what storage needs to achieve. A drawer or cupboard beats an open shelf beside a window.

Citrus ages fastest. Lemon, grapefruit and sweet orange oxidise noticeably sooner than the rest of the box. Cedarwood and frankincense sit at the other end and several woods and resins improve with a little age.

General guide. Stored properly, essential oils of this kind typically hold their character for one to three years depending on the botanical, citrus at the short end. Treat that as guidance rather than a guarantee, and follow any date printed on a bottle.

Trust your nose. An oxidised oil smells flat or faintly of turpentine where it used to smell bright, and oxidised citrus is more likely to irritate skin — retire those from topical blends first even if they still work in a diffuser.

Safety Instructions

Never neat, never swallowed. These are concentrated plant extracts. Dilute in a carrier oil before any skin contact, patch test a new oil first, keep them away from eyes and mucous membranes, and do not take them internally.

Citrus and sunlight. Lemon, grapefruit and sweet orange can make skin more reactive to UV. After applying any of them, keep that skin out of the sun and off sunbeds for the rest of the day.

The stronger oils in this box. Cinnamon and lemongrass are among the more skin-irritant oils and want lower dilutions than the general figures. Treat them with more caution than the lavender.

Pregnancy, medical care, children and pets. If you are pregnant, nursing, under medical care or using these around young children, speak to a healthcare professional first. Cats process some aromatic compounds poorly — tea tree, citrus and mint especially — so diffuse only in rooms a pet can leave and never apply oils to an animal.

Store out of reach. Keep the box where children and pets cannot get to it, away from heat and open flame, and wipe spills promptly — undiluted oil marks polished and painted surfaces.

FAQs

Q: What is in the box?
A: Twelve 10ml bottles, one of each scent — rose, frankincense, grapefruit, cedarwood, cinnamon, lemon, tea tree, sweet orange, lavender, mint, lemongrass and eucalyptus — seated in a tray inside a black presentation box.

Q: Is this a good set for blending, or just for diffusing one at a time?
A: Both, and the base notes are why. Cheaper sets tend to be all citrus and mint because those oils cost least, which means blends made from them disappear within the hour. Including cedarwood and frankincense gives you something to anchor a blend with.

Q: How many drops should I use?
A: Three to five drops per 100ml of water in a diffuser. For a blend, three parts top note to two parts middle to one part base is a workable ratio — for example three drops sweet orange, two lavender, one cedarwood.

Q: Can I use them on skin?
A: Only diluted. Body use is 1–2% — roughly 6 to 12 drops per 30ml of carrier oil; halve that for face or sensitive skin. Patch test first. Cinnamon and lemongrass are more irritant than the rest and want lower dilutions, and the citrus oils can make skin more sun-reactive for the rest of the day.

Q: How long will the set last?
A: Roughly 20 drops is 1ml, so each bottle holds about 200 drops and the box around 2,400 — enough to work through every scent properly. Keep them in the tray, upright, somewhere cool and dark; citrus oils age fastest, woods and resins slowest.
