1. Place it on a level surface. Set the burner on a heat-safe, draft-free surface — moving air will break up the downward smoke flow.

2. Position the cone. Place a backflow incense cone on the top vent with its hollow base facing down.

3. Light and settle. Light the tip, let it glow, then gently blow it out so it smolders and starts to smoke.

4. Wipe the channels after cooling. Once fully cool, wipe the interior channels occasionally to keep the smoke flow smooth on future uses.
