PHATOIL Fruit Fragrance Oil – 10ml & 100ml, 11 Scents

The only fruit range here that scales. Every other fruit listing stops at one size. This one lets you find a scent in a single candle and then buy it by the hundred millilitres without changing supplier, formula or result.

Fruit is a volume business. Strawberry, watermelon and mango move in melts and bath products the way unusual botanicals never do. A scent that sells needs a bottle that keeps up with it.

Cheap enough to be wrong. A mango that sings in soy can turn plasticky in paraffin, and there is no way to know but to pour one. At this price finding out costs less than the wax you would have wasted.

Somewhere to diffuse them too. Five to ten drops in a tank turns a room tropical in minutes. The humidifier and diffuser range lists which machines accept fragrance oil.

Fruit that is still there a month later. A real citrus fades out of a candle within weeks. These are composed to survive a 70°C pour and a fortnight of curing, so the strawberry your customer smells is the one you poured.

Eleven scents, tropical to orchard. Passion fruit, mango, pineapple and coconut at the warm end; strawberry, cherry, banana and watermelon for everything sweeter and cooler. Enough to build a summer range from one supplier.

A musk to give it a floor. White musk sits in this range for a reason. Sweetness alone reads thin and vanishes within the hour; one drop underneath gives a fruit blend something to stand on.

Both sizes, same oil. Test at 10ml, produce at 100ml — ten times the oil for under four times the price. Fruit is always what runs out first, so the big bottle tends to pay for itself in one season.

Buy the 10ml first. Fruit scents differ wildly between waxes — a mango that sings in soy can turn plasticky in paraffin. One small bottle answers that before you commit to a litre of wax.

Candles: six to ten per cent. Of total wax weight, added around 65–70°C and stirred for a full two minutes. Check the maximum your specific wax states — it varies more than any general figure.

Melts take more. Up to about ten per cent. Fruit benefits from the higher load because there is no flame driving the throw — the wax has to do all of it on warmer heat alone.

Soap, with a test bar first. Three to six per cent in cold process. Sweet fruit fragrances are among the more likely to accelerate trace or discolour — find that out in one bar, not a full batch.

Diffusers and burners. Five to ten drops in an ultrasonic tank, three to five in an oil burner's dish, using a machine that states it accepts fragrance oil. Fruit carries strongly — start low.

Fragrance oil, not essential oil. The bottles print “Essential Oil”, and that is the supplier's error. No process extracts a usable aromatic oil from strawberry, watermelon, banana or cherry. These are composed perfumery blends — which is precisely what makes them stable in wax.

The eleven. Passion fruit, mango, pineapple, coconut, strawberry, cherry, banana and watermelon, plus white musk and two interpretations of well-known designer perfumes.

On the designer names. Those two are PHATOIL's own readings of a scent direction — not the perfumes, not licensed by and not connected to the houses that own those names.

Ask for the paperwork. Selling what you make means you will need the safety data sheet and IFRA certificate for your product category. Name the scent and we will request them from the supplier before you order.

Steadier than a natural oil. Composed fragrances do not oxidise the way pressed citrus does, so a 100ml bottle will keep its character long enough to be worth buying. Cool, dark and tightly capped still applies.

Sweet fruit can discolour. Several of these contain vanillin-type materials that brown over time and can tint a pale candle or soap. That is normal rather than spoilage, but plan your colours around it.

Press the dropper home. A bulb pipette is not a seal for a bottle on its side. Push it fully down and store upright, particularly the larger bottle.

Label your tests. Write the scent and the load percentage on the base of every test candle. In six weeks you will not remember which of the four was the eight per cent one.

Not for direct skin application. These are concentrated fragrance oils. Anything wearable means proper dilution in perfumer's alcohol at a safe percentage, not the oil on skin.

Do not ingest. Not food and not a flavouring, whatever the strawberry, banana and cherry suggest. Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes, and well out of reach of children.

Bath products need an emulsifier. Fragrance oil dropped straight into bathwater floats and lands on skin at full strength. Use a proper solubiliser, or blend into a carrier or bath base first.

Flammable, and hot work. Keep the bottle away from naked flame and add to wax off the heat source rather than over it. Never leave melting wax unattended.

Hard on finishes. Undiluted fragrance oil marks polished wood, paint and some plastics quickly. Work over something you can wipe and clear spills straight away.

Caution: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with eyes, broken skin, and sensitive areas. These are concentrated fragrance oils for candles, melts, soap, bath products, sprays and diffusers — not intended for direct application to skin.
