Step 1 — Set an intention. Before lighting, take a moment to set your focus for the day or the session ahead.

Step 2 — Trim the wick. Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before every burn.

Step 3 — Place it safely. Set the candle on a heat-safe, stable surface away from drafts.

Step 4 — Burn in sessions. Burn in two to three hour sessions, letting the first burn form an even melt pool across the top.

Step 5 — Extinguish and cool. Extinguish safely and let the candle cool completely before relighting.
