Pick a flat spot. Set the holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts.

Add the cone. Seat a backflow incense cone — sandalwood or otherwise — over the vent in the lamp's hollow.

Light, then extinguish. Light the tip, let it glow briefly, then blow out the flame.

Let it cascade. Smoke should sink and flow through the hollow lamp shape; a draft-free spot keeps the flow clean.

Cool, then clean. Let the metal cool fully before wiping soot away with a soft cloth.

Material. This holder is cast metal with a gold-toned finish, not wood or ceramic — "Sandalwood" in the name refers to the paired incense scent, not the build material.

Construction. It ships in one design and finish, measuring approximately 3.8 x 5 x 16 cm.

Storage. Keep somewhere dry; prolonged moisture can dull a metal finish over time.

Cleaning. Let it cool completely after use, then wipe with a soft, dry cloth to clear soot from the hollow interior. The metal itself has no shelf life; only the incense cones you burn in it do.

Open flame. A backflow cone burns with a small open flame while lighting — never leave a lit cone unattended, and extinguish it fully before leaving the room.

Placement. Use on a heat-resistant, stable surface away from curtains and other flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets.

Handling. Metal conducts heat, so let it cool for a few minutes after a cone burns down before picking it up.
