Step 1 — Set your focus. Read the printed affirmation and jot down one thing you're grateful for, or a goal you're working toward.

Step 2 — Trim the wick. Trim to about 1/4 inch before every burn, including the first.

Step 3 — Light in a safe spot. Place the votive on a heat-resistant, stable surface away from drafts and anything flammable.

Step 4 — Let the first burn go long. Allow the wax to melt evenly to the edges of the glass before extinguishing, for a cleaner burn on later sessions.

Step 5 — Relight as needed. Because the burn time is generous, relight it across several short sessions rather than trying to finish it in one sitting.

Storage. Store the votive upright, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts, with the glass holder kept clean and dry between burns.

General guidance. As a general guide, an unlit soy votive holds its scent and appearance well for roughly 12–24 months when stored properly; this is general guidance, not a supplier-tested figure.

Signs of aging. A faded fragrance or a slightly discolored surface are normal signs of age and do not affect safe use.

Open flame. This is a real burning candle with an open flame. Never leave it unattended, and keep it well away from children, pets, and anything flammable.

Surface. Burn only on a heat-resistant, stable surface, and avoid placing it near drafts that can cause uneven burning or flaring.

Wick maintenance. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before every burn and discontinue burning once about 1/2 inch of wax remains, to avoid the holder overheating.
