Pick a stable surface. Set the burner on a heat-resistant, level surface away from drafts, open windows, or fans.

Seat the cone. Place a backflow incense cone (not included) over the vent at the base of the torch channel.

Light briefly, then extinguish. Light the tip, let it burn for several seconds until it glows steadily, then blow out the flame.

Let it flow. Smoke should sink and travel down the torch channel; a still room gives the cleanest cascade.

Wipe down after cooling. Once fully cool, wipe the channel and base with a soft cloth to keep the airflow clear for next time.

Material. This burner is handcrafted from kiln-fired ceramic, glazed in one of two available finishes (AD6 or AD7).

Construction. Because each piece is fired individually, small variations in glaze tone and texture between units are normal and part of being handmade rather than a defect.

Storage. Store somewhere dry and stable; ceramic is durable but can chip if knocked off a shelf or dropped.

Cleaning. Let it cool completely after each use, then wipe with a soft cloth to clear soot from the smoke channel. The ceramic itself doesn't have a shelf life; only the incense cones you burn in it do.

Open flame. A backflow cone burns with a small open flame while lighting — never leave a lit cone unattended, and extinguish the flame fully before walking away.

Placement. Use only on a heat-resistant, stable surface away from curtains and other flammable materials, and keep out of reach of children and pets.

Handling. Allow the ceramic and any cone residue to cool fully before touching or cleaning, and handle gently — it can chip or crack if dropped.
