Light, then extinguish. Light the tip, let it glow for a few seconds, then blow out the flame.

Watch it cascade. Smoke should sink and flow down the sculpted form; a still room gives the cleanest cascade.

Brush clean when cool. Once fully cool, use a soft brush to clear soot from the robe folds and base.
