Auroshikha Incense Sticks

By Jennifer Campbell — Modern Aromatherapy. Working in aromatherapy retail since 2015.

Strike a match, touch the flame to a fresh incense stick, and watch a thin curl of fragrant smoke rise. Within seconds the room feels a little quieter and warmer. That's the appeal of Auroshikha Incense Sticks — made in Auroville, India, using natural essential oils and herbal extracts, with no synthetic fillers.

A quick, honest note: incense is about aroma, atmosphere and ritual. The scents below are described by how people tend to experience them — not as medical treatments. Enjoy them for mood and moment, and burn in a well-ventilated space.

10 Auroshikha Scents — and When to Burn Each

Ylang Ylang — Sensual Calm

Sweet, floral and gently fruity, Ylang Ylang is a warm, quietly luxurious scent many people reach for to slow down. Lovely for: romantic evenings, winding down, or softening the edges of a long day. For another deeply calming option, see our Precious Lavender Gift Set.

White Lotus — Serenity in Bloom

Light, watery and pure, White Lotus feels like stillness itself — a symbol of spiritual awakening in Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Lovely for: morning meditation, yoga, prayer, or any quiet moment of reflection.

Vetivert — Deeply Grounding

Deep, woody and slightly smoky, Vetivert draws you inward — the scent to reach for when your mind has been running in circles. Lovely for: grounding routines, quiet evenings, or anchoring a meditation.

Vanilla — Sweet Comfort

Warm, familiar and gently sweet, vanilla makes wherever you are feel a little more like home. Lovely for: journaling, reading, creative work, or a cosy evening in.

Tuberose — Rich and Deeply Floral

Intensely floral with genuine presence, tuberose has long featured in ritual and fine perfumery. Lovely for: special occasions and intentional self-care evenings.

Tearose — Soft and Romantic

Softer than a red rose, tea rose is gentle and personal. Lovely for: heart-centred meditations and quiet moments of self-kindness. If rose is your signature scent, our Precious Rose Gift Set is a beautiful 7-piece Auroshikha collection.

Sandalwood — Sacred and Creamy

Warm, creamy and woody, sandalwood has been used for centuries in temples and meditation halls, and has a rare ability to make a space feel sacred. Lovely for: morning rituals and evening prayer. Sandalwood lovers will enjoy our Precious Sandalwood Gift Set.

Sandal Saffron — Warmth and Luxury

Precious saffron meets creamy sandalwood for a scent that's both indulgent and grounding. Lovely for: slow, reflective evenings. Pairs beautifully with the Precious Sandalwood Gift Set.

Sage — Fresh and Herbal

Sage has been used for centuries to freshen a space and mark new beginnings, and this stick captures that crisp, herbal character. Lovely for: starting a new project, refreshing a room, or marking a fresh start.

Rosemary — Crisp and Invigorating

Sharp, fresh and camphor-bright, rosemary is the scent many people reach for when they want to feel switched-on. Lovely for: working from home, studying, or a creative session.

How to Burn Auroshikha Sticks Safely

  • Always use a proper holder — our Bamboo Incense Stick Holder catches ash cleanly and keeps your surface safe.
  • Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains, paper or anything flammable.
  • Light the tip, let it catch for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame so the stick smoulders. Never leave burning incense unattended.
  • Burn in a well-ventilated room — a partially open window helps the fragrance circulate.
  • Store unused sticks in a sealed container away from sunlight and moisture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Auroshikha sticks made from natural ingredients?
Yes — natural essential oils, resins and plant-based powders, with no synthetic fragrances or chemical binders, which is why they smell so authentic.

How long does one stick burn?
Roughly 45 minutes, depending on airflow.

Can I use them for meditation and yoga?
Yes — White Lotus, Sandalwood, Vetivert and Sage are especially popular for a calm, grounded practice.

Do they produce a lot of smoke?
Less than many conventional brands, but they are still incense, so ventilate the room.

Are they safe to use indoors?
Yes, in a well-ventilated space with a proper holder. Avoid burning near young children or pets, or in rooms with very restricted airflow.
